Roundtable event on "TBTF and beyond" with Volker Bätz

Volker Bätz (Head Recov­ery and Resol­u­tion Plan­ning, formerly of Credit Suisse, and now Co-Head Recov­ery and Resol­u­tion Plan­ning of UBS Group) discussed and shared his valu­able and personal exper­i­ences on the very current topic “Too-big-to-fail” (TBTF) such as the recent devel­op­ments around the Credit Suisse/UBS merger with Finyon employ­ees during the latest roundtable event.

Volker emphas­ized the import­ance of Resol­u­tion Plan­ning, the need to under­stand a company struc­ture F2B and was sharing his own exper­i­ence with devel­op­ing and imple­ment­ing Credit Suis­se’s resol­u­tion plan. He under­lined the value of main­tain­ing resol­u­tion capab­il­it­ies and testing these to have resol­u­tion avail­able as a cred­ible option.

Reflect­ing on Credit Suis­se’s recent crisis, Volker sees a robust commu­nic­a­tion strategy as essen­tial and a key for success.
